Powerpoint Presenter’s View on the Wrong Display

Powerpoint Presenter’s View on the Wrong Display

Suppose you’re trying to run a Microsoft PowerPoint 2008 slide show on your Mac, but the Presenter’s View with all your notes shows up on the projector, while the actual slide show is on your laptop.

Here’s how to switch them:

Within PowerPoint, click in the menu bar: Slide Show > Set Up Show…
slideshow -> set up show

Click the Screen… button.
Screen...
Note that this only works while your laptop is plugged into a second display. Otherwise the Screen button isn’t there.

Lastly, choose the screen that you want.
Choose a screen
Now your Presenter’s View will be on your laptop, with the presentation on the external display.

The instructions for Microsoft Office 2004 should be the same but I don’t have it installed on my computer so I can’t confirm this.

Hope this helps!
