Youtube.com Fix: We’re sorry, this video is no longer available

YouTube-We're-sorry-this-video-is-no-longer-availableFor months now I’ve dealt with not being able to view videos from youtube.com. Every time I attempted to view a video, whether embedded in a neutral site or on youtube.com. In the past, at least for me, this would not have been an issue; I rarely have time to peruse random videos uploaded by random people I don’t know. Now, however, sites take advantage of Google’s free video hosting to disperse “how-to’s”, troubleshooting and product introductions, and it was becoming more and more of a nuisance.

After fixes posted on several blogs and forums did NOT work for me, including uninstalling Google Accelerator, modifying proxies and DNS settings, modifying the resolution of the video by adding things like &fmt=18 at the end of the video URL.

I finally decided to look into it and found an easy solution. You ready?

Reinstall Flash 10.

I discovered this by uninstalled all of my internet plugins, visiting youtube, getting the “you need flash to view the videos, dummy” message – used the link provided. Restarted the browser and viola. Every video that would not play before plays in all of my browsers. I haven’t read this anywhere, but it seems simple enough.

I tried it on both PC and MAC, and  solution worked for both platforms.

Hopefully this easy solution works for you and makes you a happy youtuber once again.
